The Isle of Man Anti-Cancer Association is using one of the Isle of Man Ambulances Services Ambulances to bring cancer awareness information to the local communities across the Island. The Information Ambulance will be equipped with a range of information materials, with health professionals on board to help answer any questions you may have relating to the signs & symptoms of cancer or cancer screening. It also has a private area where people can discuss any concerns in confidence.
If you have a question about cancer that has been bothering you for a while, something that you feel is too ‘trivial’ or ‘silly’ to bother the doctor about? Maybe you haven’t had the time to make an appointment with the GP to ask your question. Drop by and see us to find out the answer whilst you’re out and about.
The Awareness Ambulance will be in the following locations:
- Ramsey Shoprite Car Park, on Tuesday 6th September from 10 am – 4 pm
- Peel Shoprite Car Park on Wednesday 7th September from 10 am – 4 pm
- Douglas Shoprite on Thursday 8th September from 10 am – 4 pm
- Port Erin Shoprite Car Park, Friday 9th September from 10 am – 4 pm
Bringing this service to the Island Community is just part of the work the IOM Anti-Cancer Association is doing on the Isle of Man.
IOM Anti-Cancer Association also raises money to fund research into cancer, its causes and its treatment; and fund equipment at Hospitals in the UK that provide treatment to Manx patients.
