Awareness Ambulance Tour September 2020

7th – 11th September 2020

We had a very enjoyable, interesting and busy time on our tour this year. The Awareness Ambulance provided support to people from a large range of age groups and over the course of the 5 days, a total of 253 people hopped on board the Ambulance, 244 had their blood pressure taken and 18 approached us with cancer concerns. This is double the number compared to 2019 so it was a very worthwhile exercise! We would like to take this opportunity to thank IOM Ambulance Service for use of the Ambulance and to Bill Castelow for giving up his precious time to drive us around, do all the BP / Blood Sugar checks etc. and to Jane & Hannah from Roy Castle Lung Foundation for all their support too! Thanks also to Shoprite and the local Commissioners for allowing us to situate ourselves where we would benefit from the footfall.  We couldn’t have done it without you all!
